I am Profesor de Tiempo Completo (tenure-track) at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
Before holding these positions I was a Post-Doc, Lecturer and Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy, University of Graz, Austria and a Post-Doc at the Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Mexico City.
I obtained my PhD from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland), where I was part of the Arché Research Centre. During my PhD I have also been a visitor at Rutgers University and at Institut Jean Nicod (Paris).
Most of my research is in philosophy of language and philosophy of mind. At the moment, I am especially interested in
I also have interests in various other areas, including epistemology, metaphysics, and ethics. My doctoral dissertation focused on the problem of concept individuation. I have written articles on attitude reports, mental files, concepts, the publicity of thought, and communication among other things. Together with my colleagues Cristina Borgoni and Dirk Kindermann, I edited an anthology on mental fragmentation (The Fragmented Mind, Oxford University Press).
